  1. Use Input Windows to
  2.   • Enter  • Edit  • Run
  3.     SPSS commands.
  4.     To create an SPSS command file,
  5.     save the commands in the Input Window.
  6.   • Enter  • Edit
  7.     data files.
  8.   • Edit
  9.     listing files.
  10.   • Edit
  11.     any TEXT file.
  12.     Files saved using Save or Save As are
  13.     type TEXT, as are Text Only files from
  14.     other applications.

  16. You can have several Input Windows open
  17. at the same time.

  19. ENTER COMMANDS
  20. To enter commands, you can use any
  21. combination of the following:

  23.   • Choose Command Generator from the Window
  24.     menu and use it to paste keywords into the
  25.     active Input Window.

  27.   • Type specifications directly into the
  28.     Input Window.

  30.   • Choose Open from the File menu and load
  31.     commands from an existing SPSS command
  32.     files into a new Input Window.

  34. SAVE COMMANDS
  35.   To save commands in an input window
  36.    • Choose Save or Save As from the File
  37.      menu.
